Meet Our Team

Bonnie Mondragon

My name is Bonnie G. Mondragon, a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor who enjoys working with children, teenagers, and adults. My experience began in 2001 as a Certified Special Education teacher for Alvin ISD.

In 2008, I transitioned into a school counseling position servicing elementary schools in the same district where I remained until June 2018. During that time I was also able to provide individual and family services to those in need. In 2015, an opportunity presented itself to allow me to branch out into the private practice setting where I was able to work with all age groups in providing what was needed to guide individuals to success. With a variety of experiences as a teacher and counselor as well as from my own family, I am devoted to helping children, teenagers, and adults work through difficult situations. Additionally, I stay involved in my community through my church family by volunteering at different youth activities.

My primary goal is to guide individuals to gain the tools they need to be successful, whether it is at their schools, at the workplace, or at home. To do this, I work from an Adlerian theoretical framework. I utilize a variety of techniques to meet each individual’s needs. The techniques I use include cognitive behavioral techniques, play therapy, trauma interventions, psychoeducation, bibliotherapy, and traditional talk therapy.

Bonnie Mondragon

My name is Heather Benbrook and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. Counseling is my passion and has been a journey that I have been on for the past 12 years in education with the last 8 years as a school counselor in an elementary school.. Throughout this time I have worked with many children and families through some of the most difficult times in their lives. Trauma and difficult times have been evident in our community through natural disasters, a pandemic and daily stressors. However, through working with families and children, resiliency, compassion and empathy are the foundation of seeing therapeutic change.

I focus on using play therapy strategies , child-centered, solution focused techniques, talk therapy and trauma-informed practices to give a voice to my clients. Many times it is difficult to be able to express emotions and work through them. True change is possible by the trusting relationships that we will build and the coping skills that are learned for use throughout life. Life is a journey and I am excited to help you through this time in your life.

Please contact me at (832) 590-0878 if you have questions or would like to set up an appointment.

Everyone has a story, and every person deserves to be heard. But sometimes it can be hard to trust that we will be. All our voices are unique, after all, and oftentimes stories can go beyond words.

My name is Claire Powell, story enthusiast and an LPC Associate under the supervision of Bonnie Mondragon, M.S., LPC-S, RPT-S. As your therapist, I believe that you more than anyone else knows your unfolding story and how you want it to play out. I believe you have the power to achieve, adapt, and address whatever you set your mind to. I want you to be able to tell your story, free of judgment, shame, or dismissal, in whatever way suits you best, and I am honored to help you on this journey.

I have helped many clients throughout my career tell their stories and I recognize that our unique narratives often don’t just end with us. In addition to client-centered, talk therapy, and play therapy practices and experience with diverse populations across the lifespan, understanding the connections between family, friends, and society is a cornerstone of my work. Be they young stories or old, change is possible.

Let’s turn the page together. I welcome you to contact me by calling the main line at 281-585-0000 ext 2 should you have any questions or want to schedule an appointment.
